Beautiful performance in Round 2 S&D ruined in reverse sweep
January 14, 2018
Faccento could not stop Luminosity Gaming from a reverse sweep in the second round of the upper bracket at CWL New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Faccento's shining moment came in Round 2 Search and Destroy, simply flexing his dominant S&D skills as Echo Fox raced out to a 2-0 series lead. First, it was two kills with the sniper in the opening game, then it was a two-piece to end Game 3. The dominance continued into Game 5 as Faccento managed to earn full scorestreaks, which essentially ended Luminosity's last-gasp rally in Game 9. From there though, Faccento simply struggled, catching fire too late in Round 3 Capture the Flag, and failing to catch anything of substance in Rounds 4 and 5.
Picks off OpTic with sniper in win
January 14, 2018
Faccento played well and was a big reason why Echo Fox came out ahead with a 3-1 win over OpTic Gaming on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Once Faccento brought out his sniper rifle in this series, OpTic Gaming was powerless to stop the pesky foxes from walking all over that Green Wall. It was mainly in the Search & Destroy round that he busted it out and set Echo Fox on the road to three straight wins to come away with a series victory. Once Echo Fox gained this momentum, there was no stopping them as they were the more cohesive unit by far.
Excellent first round in loss
January 12, 2018
Faccento and Echo Fox came flying out of the gates, but fell down to Earth quickly, in the 3-1 loss to eUnited. The loss opened up CWL New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Faccento and Echo Fox started Round 1 Hardpoint in an excellent way. Echo Fox walked to a round win, winning 250-96. Faccento was the clear leader in the round, ending it with a whopping 35 kills. He was dominant, and his dominance paced Echo Fox. Neither he or Echo Fox as a whole would find that form for the rest of the match, however. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him post only five kills as eUnited shook off the rust to put together a strong round. This trend continued into Round 3 Capture the Flag, where a strong eUnited defense stifled any semblance of Echo Fox's offense, and Faccento had only 14 kills. Round 4 Hardpoint saw Echo Fox struggle as eUnited capped off a match win. Faccento and Echo Fox can still make noise in this tournament if they recapture their first-round performance.
Does just enough to keep his team in the game
December 17, 2017
Faccento played a solid, if inconsistent, series in a 2-3 loss to Team EnVyUs on Day 1 of the Northern Showdown.
ANALYSIS
Faccento was easily the most consistent gunner of Echo Fox, but he still wasn't able to outslay a streaky Team EnVyUs. However, that lack of slaying power from Faccento didn't matter in the long run as he was able to take Team EnVyUs all the way to a Round 5 Search & Destroy. This was thanks to some scrappy playing and some important clutches from Faccento. For example, Round 1 Hardpoint on Gibraltar was a highlight for Faccento. The game was taken to a narrow win for Echo Fox thanks to a consistent strategy of stealing spawn control from Team EnVyUs, instead of attempting to outslay their opponents. In the end, Faccento managed to clutch up on the third Turret with two kills to clutch up a win.
Wins with brain over brawn
December 9, 2017
Faccento used his intelligence to bait a win out of Team EnVyUs on Day 2 of CWL Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Playing to his team's versatility, Faccento had his team play for spawns and picks rather than straight-up firefights. The spawn strategy worked excellently in Round 1 Hardpoint where Echo Fox held a stubborn spawn position in the corner of the map. Later, in Round 2 Search & Destroy, the defensive strategy baited a battle-hungry opponent into his teammates' sights for easy pickings. But Faccento's plan culminated in a 16-minute Capture the Flag where slow, methodical pushes eventually burned Team EnVyUs out. After a stalemate brew in the second Overtime, with both teams having stolen each other's flags, Faccento picked up the game-winning kill onto flag-carrier Classic by using Gunless as bait.
Good respawn play in win
December 9, 2017
Faccento struggled in Search & Destroy, but played well otherwise, as Echo Fox swept Millennium to break into Pool Play on Day 2 of CWL Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Faccento had a nice game, his Round 2 Search & Destroy performance that saw him go kill-less through three games notwithstanding. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him and Gunless get Echo Fox into the match after going down early. Faccento also got them over the 200 mark, effectively putting his team in pole position for the win. Faccento had a great play in Round 3 Capture the Flag that all but secured the win for Echo Fox. He flanked the opposition, wiped them out, and secured the flag to put them up 3-0 and on the way to a victory.
Newest addition to Echo Fox
October 25, 2017
Echo Fox announced Wednesday Faccento would be joining the team to start the Call of Duty: World War II season.
ANALYSIS
Any time a former second-place finisher at CoD Champs is the least eye-popping addition to a new squad, you know the team may be stacked. After being dropped from Rise Nation in late August, Faccento appears to have joined a more formidable roster than his former one, with Echo Fox sporting Saints, Gunless and Enable. Given Faccento tailed off along with the rest of the Rise Nation roster for most of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare season, a bounceback year could very well be in short order.
Surprise release from Rise Nation
August 27, 2017
Faccento is a free agent after he announced Saturday his former team, Rise Nation, had dropped him.
ANALYSIS
It's a bit of a surprise to see Rise Nation drop Faccento, one of their better players during a surprising run during the 2017 Call of Duty World Championships, but the move adds yet another capable player into what is shaping up to be an exciting free agency pool. While Faccento's play this season wasn't nearly as crisp as it was in 2016, it would be a disservice to suggest the former Revenge and eLevate star is not one of the upper echelon players in the scene. Where he will wind up, however, remains to be seen.
Lowest kills in tough loss
August 13, 2017
Faccento and Rise Nation bow out of the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship after a loss against Luminosity, with Faccento going 65/88.
ANALYSIS
Faccento was one of the main reasons why Rise was unable to take this series and continue their run at the World Championship. He started off by going double negative for most of Round 1 Hardpoint before doing his best to get some game wins in Round 2 Search & Destroy to no avail. He had multiple first bloods in the rounds, but they just couldn't clutch it all the way up. When it came to Round 3 Uplink, Faccento picked up the go-ahead dunk in the second half that helped seal the deal. That was their final positive moment, however, as they were dropped 3-1.
Objective master in win over Allegiance
August 13, 2017
Faccento finished Saturday's lower bracket win over Allegiance with a 63/59 KD.
ANALYSIS
Faccento was the main objective player for Rise Nation, as he has been all season, racking up six of the 10 points in Uplink while also contributing to the team's impeccable Search and Destroy record with two plants. While the massive slaying numbers weren't there this time around, Faccento has been one of the more consistent players on the team throughout the Call of Duty World Championships.
Slays for his team
August 13, 2017
Faccento was the key slayer with a 67/58 KD in a win over FaZe Clan on Day 4 of the CWL Championships.
ANALYSIS
While most of Rise Nation's KD suffered, Faccento was one of the few players who kept a fairly strong scoreline. This was thanks to Faccento finding the perfect opportunities to challenge and convert points. For example, Round 3 Uplink saw Faccento patiently wait to land a favorable trade before even attempting to dunk. He waited until the end of the second half. His slaying came out in full force Round 2 Search & Destroy and Round 5 Search & Destroy, scoring an 11/3 KD and a 8/1 KD respectively. The insane scoreline was thanks to Faccento making quick challenges after his team cleared corners. But despite Faccento's slaying talents, it wasn't enough to win Round 1 Hardpoint and Round 4 Hardpoint since his team couldn't support him.
Solid in win
August 12, 2017
Faccento played well in the 3-1 win over Ghost Gaming on Day 4 of the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship. The win put Rise Nation in the top six of Champs.
ANALYSIS
Rise Nation got off to an incredibly slow start in this match, losing 250-150 in Round 1 Hardpoint. They never recovered from the 23-3 deficit they faced in the opening minutes. Faccento went 16/15, with 1:03 on the objective in the round. He was fine, but Rise Nation as a whole was well behind Ghost Gaming. Round 2 Search & Destroy got them back on track, as Rise Nation breezed through the round, winning 6-1. Faccento had some big games in the round, winning both Games 3 and 5 with a double kill. Round 3 Uplink was a high-octane round, with Rise Nation taking it 18-10. Faccento had his second good performance in two rounds, going 23/18 with eight points. He was all over the map, contributing on both sides of the game. Round 4 Hardpoint was an incredibly close round. The score was tied at 228, before a hold of Hotel Hallway clinched the round and match for Rise Nation. Faccento finished strongly, going 18/13 with a whopping 1:49 on the objective.
Support role in win
August 11, 2017
Faccento played a support role in the 3-1 win over Str8 Rippin on Day 3 of the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship. The win kept Rise Nation in the Loser's Bracket.
ANALYSIS
Faccento did not light the scoreboard on fire, but he played a quality support role in the win. Round 1 Hardpoint was incredibly close, with both teams going back and forth in the round. They traded leads deep into it, and Rise Nation squeaked out ahead 250-237. Faccento went 22/22 with 1:45 on the objective. Round 2 Search & Destroy was just as close, culminating in a Game 11 win for Rise Nation. Faccento had the final kill in Game 8 in the round. Round 3 Uplink was their sole loss, and it was a tough one. Rise Nation led 8-5 with 1:50 left on the objective, but they ended up losing 9-8. Faccento lagged behind, going 21/23 and getting one point; he missed a game-tying throw with no time left on the clock, too. Round 4 Hardpoint saw Rise Nation get back on track, blowing out Str8 Rippin. They led 100-25 and 200-64 before finishing off the round. Faccento continued his strong objective play with 1:16 on the hill in the round, and added 16 kills (to 14 deaths).
Objective based in win
August 9, 2017
Faccento did not slay well in the sweep win over Luminosity Gaming, but his focus on the objective gave him value. The match was on Day 1 of the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship.
ANALYSIS
Faccento did not slay well in any of the rounds, but he still provided a lot of value to his team's success. Round 1 Hardpoint was incredibly close, with Rise Nation eking out a 250-241 win. Faccento only went 17/22, but he had a strong 1:27 on the objective -- the low slaying, high objective statline will show itself again. Round 2 Search & Destroy was an easy 6-2 win for Rise Nation, but Faccento stayed in the shadows while Felony and Loony dominated. Round 3 Uplink was even worse, as Rise Nation won 22-9. Faccento only went 18/21, but he did have seven points in the win -- the second time he made up for poor slaying with big objective performances.
Shows his skills with the sniper
July 16, 2017
Faccento reaches his heights with a 51/44 KD in a 3-0 sweep over Splyce on Day 3 of Group Yellow.
ANALYSIS
Faccento finally lands his shots and it made a distinct difference in Rise Nation's gameplay with the team beating Splyce 3-0. The shocking turn around wouldn't have been possible without Faccento. Round 1 Hardpoint saw Faccento simply slay out. With three members of Rise Nation all dropping numbers, it was a quick and controlling game for Faccento. But his true skills came out in Round 2 Search & Destroy on Retaliation. Game 4 saw Faccento beam with his sniper rifle, getting two kills with one shot in the Hotel Hallway. Faccento closed Round 2 Search & Destroy with a 9/7 KD.
