Kory Friesen
Stern in Game 2 OT win
October 7, 2017
SEMPHIS posted a 33/39 KD on Tuesday in a 1-1 split with SK Gaming in ESL Pro League Season 6.
Unfortunately for SEMPHIS, his debut in Game 1 was a rather dismal one, with only a 6/16 KD and 45.2 ADR to show for in the 16-0 loss on Train. However, SEMPHIS didn't have a clean start to Game 2 either, with only four rounds claimed for the offense in the 11-4 first-half score. Finally, SEPMHIS broke his slump and fired all cylinders in the second half of Inferno for the defense to tie the game at 13. From there, it was a neck-and-neck battle as rounds flopped side to side, but SEMPHIS stood strong to hold off and force the extra rounds. He continued to reign on the defense to pick up the first two rounds. After an SK win, SEMPHIS got the quick entry-kills to help the offense sweep two rounds for the 19-16 split, posting a 27/23 KD and an 85.5 ADR.
Consistent in sweep over Rouge
September 13, 2017
SEMPHIS went 44/33 on Tuesday with a 2-0 win over Rouge in ESL Pro League Season 6.
SEMPHIS got the ball rolling after the early contest in the first half resulted in a defensive overhaul to take the 10-5 half on Train. SEMPHIS remained consistent in the second half picking up the entry-kills and bomb plants to extend the lead late in the half. Although Rouge did have a short comeback that almost forced overtime, SEMPHIS shut down Rouge's chances with an edging 16-14 win. He then carried over the momentum into Game 2 of Nuke with a strong offensive first half with the opening frags to take the half 9-6. The second half was all defense as SEMPHIS held down the A-bombsite for the 16-9 win.
Dropped from TSM
December 15, 2016
Semphis has been released from TSM, reports Daniel Rosen of theScore esports.
With TSM signing both sgares and ShahZaM, the team needed to make some room on their roster. Given that Semphis didn't exactly impress with the team, it was not at all surprising that he was let go. He joined the team in January and struggled with his teammates to do much of anything during the year. They were apart of ECS Season 2, but finished ninth during the regular season and failed to reach the playoffs.
Fails to show up at all for team in loss
November 8, 2016
Semphis put up a paltry 17/45 KD in TSM's 0-2 loss to CLG on Tuesday.
Semphis was just straight up bad in this game. He started off with only two kills through the first eight rounds, and never got better from there. His one highlight (i.e. lowlight) play in the series came in Game 2 when he jumped through a clear sniping lane for some reason. Instead of flashing after missing his smoke, he just jumped through and was promptly taken out by reltuC. Plays like these plagued his performance throughout this series, which directly led to TSM's loss in this series.
