Tough series ends Na'Vi's DreamLeague run
December 2, 2017
Sonneiko had a rough time in a 0-2 loss to Evil Geniuses at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with a 2/13/11 overall KDA. Na'Vi is eliminated from the event, finishing in fourth place.
ANALYSIS
Sonneiko started out the series on one of his favorite heroes, Shadow Shaman. Unfortunately, things did not go well for Na'Vi in Game 1. They fell behind early, and Sonneiko quickly became food for the EG core heroes. He wasn't able to use his spells well at all, and finished the game with a 0/9/5 KDA. In Game 2 Sonneiko went back for Shadow Shaman again, but was unfortunately let down by the hero once more. Things started well for Na'Vi, but a series of tragically bag fights saw their lead slip away. He finished with a 2/4/6 KDA.
Another admirable tournament run ended short
December 2, 2017
RodjER gave it his all but couldn't do enough in a 0-2 loss to Evil Geniuses at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with a 4/15/7 overall KDA. Na'Vi is eliminated from the event, finishing in fourth place.
ANALYSIS
RodjER played Sand King in Game 1. He finished a quick Blink Dagger at just 14 minutes, but wasn't able to group up with his teammates and turn that into an advantage. Although he continued to try and initiate, the game never turned around for RodjER and Na'Vi. He finished with a 2/8/2 KDA. In Game 2 RodjER played Undying. Together with Dendi's Zeus, RodjER terrorized SumaiL in the middle lane. Although Na'Vi succeeded in ruining the first 10 minutes of SumaiL's game, it eventually came at great cost. Na'Vi lead came unraveling once it was time to fight as five. He finished with a 2/7/5 KDA.
Rough series for the Na'Vi offlane
December 2, 2017
GeneRaL had a difficult series in a 0-2 loss to Evil Geniuses at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with a 2/13/5 overall KDA. Na'Vi is eliminated from the event, finishing in fourth place.
ANALYSIS
GeneRaL started the series out on Brewmaster, but it would be a very unpleasant experience. He died three times in the first five minutes of the game, and things never really improved for the Na'Vi offlane after that. He continued to try and initiate, but all this meant was more deaths. He finished with a 1/8/2 KDA. GeneRaL played Brewmaster again in Game 2. Although things started out well for Na'Vi this time, in the end GeneRaL enjoyed a similar experience to Game 1. His initiation as the game went later became more and more desperate, and Na'Vi's early lead slipped away. He finished with a 1/5/3 KDA.
Dreamleague run ended in two decisive losses
December 2, 2017
Dendi finished with a 5/6/6 overall KDA in a disappointing 0-2 loss to Evil Geniuses at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. Na'Vi is eliminated from the event, finishing in fourth place.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Dendi played Viper. This wasn't a great showing from Dendi, who's success often dictates the fate of Na'Vi in their games. His lane went OK, but he didn't have much momentum going into the mid-game. This left Na'Vi lacking in their teamfight damage, which quickly snowballed out of control. Dendi finished with a 2/4/2 KDA. In Game 2 Dendi played Zeus. Things started out great for Dendi. He dominated his lane with help from RodjER's Undying, but Na'Vi failed to follow through on their huge early lead. Once they fell behind, Dendi became a lot more fragile and had to play a much more passive game. He finished with a 3/2/4 KDA.
Weak showing to end DreamLeague
December 2, 2017
Crystallize never really got off the ground in a 0-2 loss to Evil Geniuses at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with a 4/6/4 overall KDA. Na'Vi is eliminated from the event, finishing in fourth place.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Crystallize played Phantom Lancer. Although he did an acceptable job, his hero was simply not suited to the pace of game that EG set. While Crystallize was still trying to farm up a second major item, EG were knocking on the Na'Vi base. Although he finished with a 2/1/2 KDA, avoiding most of the carnage, Na'Vi were far behind in this game. In Game 2 Crystallize played Terrorblade. He got off to a hot start in this game, but Na'Vi effectively threw their early lead away with a pair of disastrous fight losses. Crystallize found himself getting burst down in fights nearly instantly and before he had a chance to deal and major damage. He finished with a 2/5/2 KDA.
EG captain leads his team to a win
December 2, 2017
Fear looked excellent in a 2-0 win over Na'Vi at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with an overall KDA of 9/4/25.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Fear played Bane. This was an exceptional Bane performance from Fear. He managed to have a huge amount of impact from the five position, heavily tilting things in EG's favor. His spell use was excellent all game, shutting down Na'Vi's potentially deadly Brewmaster initiation on multiple occasions. Fear finished with a 7/2/12 KDA. In Game 2 Fear took up the role of Bloodlust bot as Ogre Magi. He performed his role admirably, leading his team to well-earned comeback victory. He finished with a 2/2/13 KDA.
Gaining steam as DreamLeague continues
December 2, 2017
Cr1t's initiation was great in both games of a 2-0 win over Na'Vi at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with an overall KDA of 5/4/39.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Cr1t played Slardar. He got a well-timed Blink Dagger at around 15 minutes, and from there EG's initiation was locked in for the rest of the game. Cr1t finished with a 5/3/17 KDA. In Game 2 Cr1t played Rubick. He once again got a timely Blink Dagger and proceeded to play an excellent game. His positioning was on-point, and his stolen spells were all put to great use. He even managed one of the ultimate Rubick steals, getting Primal Split from GeneRaL's Brewmaster. Cr1t finished with a 0/1/22 KDA.
Heals his team on their way to two impressive wins
December 2, 2017
Universe played two fantastic games in a 2-0 win over Na'Vi at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with an overall KDA of 4/3/30.
ANALYSIS
The first game of the series was an impressive one from Universe. He played a great Omniknight, enabling his teammates to play an extremely aggressive game. His positioning was constantly good, letting him get the maximum value out of his spells and turn fights in EG's favor. Universe finished with an impressive 3/0/17 KDA. After his Game 1 success, Universe played Omniknight again in Game 2 to similar results. This time things started out a bit rougher though, and Universe had to play from behind until all of EG had their required levels and items. This didn't deter EG though, and they fought their way back to a much-deserved win. Universe finished with a 1/3/16 KDA.
Shows off his flexibility when focused
December 2, 2017
SumaiL took the back seat to Arteezy after getting heavily pressured in lane today in a 2-0 win over Na'Vi at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with an overall KDA of 12/4/22.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 SumaiL played an excellent Dragon Knight. He was a great front line for him teammates, and in addition to dealing a large amount of damage he allowed Arteezy to move around in fights with ease. Although not a flashy hero, SumaiL has been struggling recently so wins like this are a positive sign. He finished with a 6/1/10 KDA. SumaiL took Timbersaw to the middle lane in Game 2, but was greeted by an absolutely brutal Zeus and Undying dual lane. The first 10 minutes of the game were miserable for SumaiL, but by 25 minutes, SumaiL was back in the game with a Bloodstone and EG were on top. He finished the game with a 6/3/12 KDA.
Outstanding series from EG's carry
December 2, 2017
Arteezy took over in both games of a 2-0 win over Na'Vi at the DreamLeague Season 8 Major. He finished with an overall KDA of 22/3/17.
ANALYSIS
Arteezy started out the series with a strong Luna performance. He did well for himself in lane, and was able to transition to the mid-game with only a single death and a healthy net worth lead. Once EG started to pull ahead, Arteezy became unstoppable. He finished with an 8/2/8 KDA. In Game 2 Arteezy played Gyrocopter and carried his team. He got a lot for himself in the early game, which lead to a very strong mid-game for Arteezy. His damage in fights was simply too much to handle for Na'Vi, and with Universe's Omniknight backing him up Arteezy was extremely durable. Arteezy finished with a 14/1/9 KDA.
