Continues to look unstoppable at Starladder
October 15, 2017
MATUMBAMAN finished with an overall KDA of 19/3/17 in Team Liquid's 2-0 win over Team Secret in the Starladder iLeague Minor.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 MATUMBAMAN played Broodmother. He played an excellent game. He got a lot of farm in the early-game, and accelerated himself to a substantial net worth lead as the game went on. He was a monster in fights all game, there was no one on the side of Secret who could stand toe-to-toe with MATUMBAMAN. He finished with an 11/3/9 KDA. In Game 2 MATUMBAMAN played Lifestealer. This was a really excellent performance from MATUMBAMAN. Despite Liquid playing from behind for the first half of the game, he kept up in gold and experience and gave his team a fighting chance. After winning a huge fight defending their high ground, Liquid were able to storm back and take the game with MATUMBAMAN leading the charge. He finished with an 8/0/8 KDA.
Not his flashiest series, but a win all the same
October 15, 2017
Miracle finished with an overall KDA of 16/12/20 in Team Liquid's 2-0 win over Team Secret in the Starladder iLeague Minor.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Miracle played Bloodseeker. He played well in this game apart from a few deaths. He was vulnerable to disables from Secret, but after falling for their tricks once Miracle started to take great care in taking fights. He ended the game with a 10/5/11 KDA. In Game 2 Miracle played Monkey King. He suffered a lot of deaths in lane, but Liquid were able to come back into the game thanks to their superior teamwork, but also an extremely aggressive dive from Secret. After securing two huge kill bounties off that one dive, Miracle was back in the game and able to coast with his team to victory. He finished with a 6/7/9 KDA.
Great performance from the Liquid offlane

MinD_ContRoL finished with an overall KDA of 8/12/36 in Team Liquid's 2-0 win over Team Secret in the Starladder iLeague Minor.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 MinD_ContRoL played Earthshaker. It took him a while to get warmed up, but once MinD_ContRoL was ready to go he was unstoppable. Whenever Secret looked like they might be turning the tides of late-game fights MinD_ContRoL showed up with a huge Echo Slam to shut them down. He finished with a 3/8/20 KDA. In Game 2 MinD_ContRoL played Doom. He had a tough early game, losing out in his lane to Fata's Puck. Fortunately for Liquid, he didn't lose that badly and his Doom ability was incredibly effective in the later stages of the game. Landing Doom on either Templar Assassin or Puck let Liquid take convincing fight wins and secure the game. MinD_ContRoL finished with a 5/4/16 KDA.
Another grand final secured for Liquid after a commanding win
October 15, 2017
gh finished with an overall KDA of 9/12/34 in Team Liquid's 2-0 win over Team Secret in the Starladder iLeague Minor.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 gh played Night Stalker. He played as well as is expected from gh at this point. He has earned a reputation as an extremely impactful player, and this game was no different. From the early-game all the way until Secret called GG, gh found a way to have an impact on the game. He finished with a 6/6/20 KDA. In Game 2 gh played Earthshaker. The game started out slow for gh, but once he got his Blink Dagger around 24 minutes Liquid were able to put on the gas. His Echo Slams were always well placed, securing crucial kills or giving Liquid time to turn around a fight. He finished with a 3/6/14 KDA.
Maintains Liquid's undefeated streak at Starladder
October 15, 2017
KuroKy finished with an overall KDA of 8/12/25 in Team Liquid's 2-0 win over Team Secret in the Starladder iLeague Minor.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 KuroKy played Ancient Apparition. This wasn't a particularly flashy game for KuroKy. He hit his spells on the targets that he needed to, and did a nice job staying alive. He finished with a 4/5/18 KDA. In Game 2 KuroKy played support Pugna. For the first half of the game things looked pretty horrible for KuroKy. He was dying a lot and not having much impact at all in fights. After a huge turnaround while defending their high ground, though, Liquid were able to flip the game on its head and steamroll their way to a win. KuroKy finished with a 4/7/7 KDA.
Finishes his first event with Secret in 3rd-4th place
October 15, 2017
Ace finished with an overall KDA of 13/11/16 in Team Secret's 0-2 loss to Team Liquid at the Starladder iLeague Minor. Team Secret are eliminated, finishing in 3rd-4th place.
ANALYSIS
Ace played Timbersaw in Game 1. Despite being behind almost all game, Ace did a really nice job keeping Secret competitive. He kept his farm close to the Liquid cores and did a lot of damage when he showed up to fights. Unfortunately, the rest of his team wasn't doing so well. Ace was often the last man left alive, and he couldn't do much from that position. He finished with an 11/6/8 KDA. In Game 2 Ace played Weaver. This was a rough game for Ace. He was pressured a lot, despite the rest of his team doing well in the early-game. He went for a desperate Hand of Midas to try and get back into the game, but it wasn't nearly enough. He finished with a 2/5/8 KDA.
Painful Game 2 loss ends Secret's Starladder run
October 15, 2017
MidOne finished with an overall KDA of 15/15/15 in Team Secret's 0-2 loss to Team Liquid at the Starladder iLeague Minor. Team Secret are eliminated, finishing in 3rd-4th place.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 MidOne played Queen of Pain. This was a disappointing showing from MidOne. He gave up a lot of deaths in the mid-game that set him and Secret back too much. Even the mobility from Blink wasn't enough to keep him alive against Liquid. He finished with an 8/8/7 KDA. In Game 2 MidOne played Templar Assassin. He had an explosive early game, getting Secret off to a substantial lead. Unfortunately for Secret fans, a couple of timely deaths set back his efforts considerably. Because so much of Secret's net worth was on MidOne, his deaths essentially threw away Secret's lead single-handedly. He finished with a 7/7/8 KDA.
Lukewarm performance in a loss to Team Liquid
October 15, 2017
Fata finished with an overall KDA of 9/7/21 in Team Secret's 0-2 loss to Team Liquid at the Starladder iLeague Minor. Team Secret are eliminated, finishing in 3rd-4th place.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Fata played Nature's Prohphet. He played well, but in the end not well enough to stop Liquid. Once Liquid started to pull ahead of Secret in the mid-game, Fata wasn't able to do enough split-pushing or damage in fights to keep Secret in it. He finished with a 5/3/14 KDA. In Game 2 Fata played Puck. He was once again playing well in the early-game, but things quickly unraveled. A series of disastrous fights completely threw Secret's lead away, and there wasn't anything Fata could do on his own. He finished with a 4/4/7 KDA.
Two rough games on Nyx Assassin
October 15, 2017
YapzOr finished with an overall KDA of 8/12/31 in Team Secret's 0-2 loss to Team Liquid at the Starladder iLeague Minor. Team Secret are eliminated, finishing in 3rd-4th place.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 YapzOr played Nyx Assassin. He made some nice moves in the early game, especially against Miracle's Bloodseeker. Unfortunately for Secret, Liquid were able to adapt to his ganks and start pushing back. Once on the back foot, YapzOr became a lot less useful and finished with a 2/8/16 KDA. In Game 2 YapzOr played Nyx Assassin again. This was an eerie repeat of Game 1 for YapzOr. He made some nice moves in the early stages of the game but found himself hard-countered by the enemies' vision as the game went on. He finished with a 6/4/15 KDA.
Eliminated from Starladder in a heart wrenching loss
October 15, 2017
Puppey finished with an overall KDA of 5/19/21 in Team Secret's 0-2 loss to Team Liquid at the Starladder iLeague Minor. Team Secret are eliminated, finishing in 3rd-4th place.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Puppey played Bane. This was a rough game for the Secret captain. Although he usually fills the role of sacrificial lamb, it's an especially difficult one to play when on the losing team. Because of all his deaths, Puppey was severely under-leveled and unable to make good use of his spells in the late-game. He finished with a 0/12/9 KDA. In Game 2 Puppey played Bounty Hunter. Things started out well for Secret as Puppey was providing very nice vision, as well as setting up kills with Track. A few bad fights were enough to completely throw that lead away though, and Secret quickly found themselves playing from a desperate situation again. Puppey finished with a 5/7/12 KDA.
