Can't build on good first game
August 23, 2018
CCnC was on a downward spiral against Virtus.pro. The young star finished with a KDA of 21/18/17.
ANALYSIS
CCnC gambled with mid Huskar in the series opener. He managed to easily bully N[o]one's Dragon Knight in the laning stage with controlled aggression. CCnC was just styling on Virtus.pro with 11 kills. CCnC played Alchemist in Game 2. He died four times in the early game but still managed a 15-minute Radiance. However, he couldn't win against the three farmed core heroes in the game. For the final game, CCnC went with Lina against N[o]one's Tiny. His laning stage wasn't too hot. He died two times early, but he still got some return kills to catch right back up. However, his growth was way too slow for Optic as VP overpowered him in the end.
Can't deal with control
August 17, 2018
CCnC finished OpTic's 2-0 loss to Team Secret during The International 2018 group stages with an average KDA of 2/5/6.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1, CCnC won his lane as Storm Spirit but could not translate that advantage into anything larger. He made plenty of correct moves but he was not skilled enough to evade the crowd control from Secret's supports. In Game 2 the wheels completely fell off as Mirana. CCnC lost his lane to MidOne's Necrophos, the one hero OpTic needed to be shut down and it was all over from there.
Perfect in Game 2
August 17, 2018
CCnC finished OpTic's 1-1 draw with VGJ.Storm during The International 2018 group stages with an average KDA of 7/3/9.
ANALYSIS
CCnC played a decent Game 1 as Leshrac, but there was not enough crowd control from his supports to keep him alive long enough to make an impact on the most crucial fights. In Game 2, CCnC was a one man army on Medusa. He finished the game with no deaths after dominating the middle lane. CCnC seems to be opposite of Pajkatt and performs the best when his team is reliant on him to win the game.
Jebaited
August 15, 2018
CCnC finished OpTic's 2-0 loss to Virtus.pro during The International 2018 group stages with an average KDA of 7/8/6.
ANALYSIS
CCnC played Mirana in Game 1, winning his lane and rushing out to an early lead. However, the young mid laner consistently overestimated his own power, jumping into poor fighting situations and dying unnecessarily, wiping out OpTic's initial lead and earning some serious trash talk from Virtus.pro. In Game 2, CCnC played much safer and more surgical, but with all of OpTic having lost their lanes they were completely rolled over by Virtus.pro.
Rough series for Optic's middle lane
July 27, 2018
CCnC finished with an overall KDA of 26/11/20 in a 1-1 series vs paiN at the Summit 9.
ANALYSIS
CCnC lead Game 1 in kills on Lina but gave up too many deaths in the late game to secure the win for Optic. Despite dealing a lot of damage in fights, CCnC proved to be a relatively easy target for paiN once his Black King Bar was down to low durations. He finished with a 14/9/6 KDA. In Game 2 CCnC bounced back with an impressive Templar Assassin game. He executed the same basic gameplan of getting ahead early but managed to follow through and carry his team to a win this time. He finished with a 12/2/14 KDA.
Lackluster performance from the middle lane
July 26, 2018
CCnC finished with an overall KDA of 14/9/15 in a 0-2 loss to VGJ.Storm at the Summit 9.
ANALYSIS
CCnC played well on Storm Spirit in Game 1. His mobility allowed him to find quick and easy kills on VGJ.Storm's supports, but he struggled to find the core kills that Optic needed to win fights. He finished with an 8/2/6 KDA. In Game 2 CCnC played an unimpactful Queen of Pain. He got a few kills in the early stages of the game but felt extremely weak as things went on. He finished with a 6/7/9 KDA.
Pushes his luck with Templar Assassin
July 25, 2018
CCnC had an excellent series, but OpTic only came away with a draw against Fnatic. The outspoken mid laner finished with a KDA of 11/5/14.
ANALYSIS
CCnC played Templar Assassin in both games of the series. He was schooled by Abed's Meepo in the laning stage as he didn't get much help from his team. He never really got going as his jungle stacks farm could not outpace Abed's farming game. CCnC just murdered Abed in the laning stage with his Templar Assassin in Game 2 in terms of last-hitting as his luck turned around. With a few rotations from Zai, he helped cement his solid lead to lead the way for OpTic coming in to the mid game with an efficient timing on his Blink Dagger and Desolator to take over the game.
Can't stand up to No[o]ne in the middle lane
June 9, 2018
CCnC had a hard series in a 2-0 loss to Virtus.pro at the China Supermajor. He finished with a 9/13/17 overall KDA.
ANALYSIS
CCnC began the series on Mirana. With his damage buffed by Pajkatt's Drow Ranger, CCnC was able to be a big threat in fights if he could avoid disables. Fights were way too chaotic for this to work out though, especially against a team as skilled as Virtus.pro. CCnC finished with a 6/4/6 KDA. In Game 2 CCnC got destroyed on Venomancer. He was usually able to get off his ultimate before dying, but Optic were rarely able to finish off these kills. CCnC was never alive to help either, usually getting killed quickly in fights. He finished with a 3/9/11/ KDA.
Steps up to cinch Game 2 for Optic
June 6, 2018
CCnC played a great series, taking it 2-0 vs Evil Geniuses at the China Supermajor. He finished with a 17/7/24 overall KDA.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 CCnC played a nice Luna. His positioning in fights was pretty good, although he did get dragged into fights by Reality Rift a bit too often. He was usually able to get off his damage before dying though, giving Optic great burst in fights. He finished with a 9/6/12 KDA. CCnC played very well on Dragon Knight in Game 2. Not only was his positioning very good, but his itemization was great as well. His choice to go for an Armlet and Maelstrom gave Optic the damage they needed to make up for having an Omniknight as Visage as the other two cores. CCnC finished with an 8/1/12 KDA.
Solid showing against Fnatic
May 26, 2018
CCnC finished a 2-1 win vs Fnatic at ESL Birmingham with an overall KDA of 10/10/17.
ANALYSIS
CCnC played well on Leshrac in Game 1. He gave up a few careless deaths while Optic was very far ahead, but did a nice job recovering afterward. He did a huge amount of magical AoE damage in fights, forcing back Fnatic's supports and clearing out Abed's Phantom Lancer illusions. CCnC finished with a 4/2/9 KDA. In Game 2 CCnC got destroyed on Death Prophet. He and Optic were pressured heavily and cracked early to it. This lead to an unstoppable Fnatic snowball and CCnC finished with a 0/4/0 KDA. In Game 3 CCnC played an OK Razor. He did a good job getting into fights and creating space for the rest of his team to run in but often found himself overextended beyond saving. Apart from those few careless deaths though, CCnC did a nice job prioritizing targets and playing with his team. He finished with a 6/4/8 KDA.
Outclassed by No[o]ne in the middle lane
May 24, 2018
CCnC finished with a 0/6/3 KDA on Lina in a hard loss to Virtus.pro at ESL Birmingham.
ANALYSIS
After getting dominated in lane by No[o]ne, CCnC was pretty much out of the game. Optic tried their best, but Virtus.pro never gave any space for CCnC to get back into the game. He died easily and often in fights and was also very vulnerable to getting picked off by heroes like Slark and Pangolier.
Comes back after disappointing Game 1
May 23, 2018
CC&C showed some nice mental fortitude against Mineski, coming back to secure a 2-1 win at ESL Birmingham. He finished with an overall KDA of 28/10/39.
ANALYSIS
CC&C played an extremely underwhelming Kunkka in Game 1. He did poorly in lane but managed to help contribute to a few good kills in the mid game. Things really went wrong when CC&C made the decision to go for a Divine Rapier in the late game, attempting to gain an edge in a close game. In its debut fight, CC&C only got to hit with it twice before dying and instantly losing the game. He finished with a 2/4/14 KDA. In Game 2 CC&C redeemed himself with an impressive Ember Spirit game. He did fine in lane despite having a tough matchup and was able to transition into a very effective space creator and fighter. He was extremely difficult to pin down and kill, which gave CC&C huge freedom in fights. He finished with a 9/3/11 KDA. In Game 3 CC&C played Queen of Pain, taking over the game with his burst damage and mobility. He had a bit of a rough early game, giving up all three of his deaths before 15 minutes, but managed to come back with a vengeance. He finished the game with a 17/3/14 KDA.
Weak series from Optic's middle lane
April 24, 2018
CC&C played poorly in a 2-0 loss to VGJ.Storm, eliminating Optic from the Supermajor qualifiers. He finished with an overall KDA of 5/18/12.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 CC&C played an underwhelming Razor. He got absolutely obliterated in lane, which set him up for disaster in the rest of the game. Without being on at least even footing, Razor feels incredibly weak and this game was a perfect example of that. CC&C finished with a 4/11/8 KDA. In Game 2 CC&C played Death Prophet, once again getting basically shut out of the game by VGJ.Storm's pressure. He was completely ineffective in fights, never living long enough to get value from Exorcism or do any meaningful tower damage. He finished with a 1/7/3 KDA.
Easily bounced back after rough laning stage
March 31, 2018
CC&C had a fruitful performance in Optic's win against LGD in the Dota Asia Championships 2018. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 8/2/8.
ANALYSIS
CC&C played Dragon Knight against Maybe's Lina in the only game of the series. He didn't find a lot of farm for himself in the laning stage. He capitalized when Maybe left the lane and farmed up his 14 minute Dagger. Afterward, he was always in the thick of the action with his Blink-Dragon Tail initiations being involved in 16 kills for his team.
Weak series from Optic's middle lane
March 30, 2018
CC&C finished a loss to OG at DAC 2018 with a 1/8/10 KDA on Razor.
ANALYSIS
This was a poor game from CC&C despite getting off to a pretty decent start. As the game went later, he struggled to keep up in farm and starting dying very early in fights. By the late game, it was lucky if CC&C was even able get off a Static Link.
