Advances to another major grand final
June 10, 2018
Solo played well in a close 2-1 win over PSG.LGD at the China Supermajor. He finished with an overall KDA of 12/24/55.
ANALYSIS
Solo started the series with a tough Rubick game. He died extremely quickly in fights to the PSG.LGD cores, not getting a chance to ever put his Spellstealing abilities to work. He finished with a 2/9/8 KDA. Solo played a good Warlock in Game 2, adding a lot of damage and control to VP's teamfight with Fatal Bonds and Chaotic Offering. He did a good job being alive at the right times in the late-game, despite giving up a lot of deaths. He finished with a 5/10/30 KDA. In Game 3 Solo played Bane, backing up his teammates on their way to a convincing Game 3 win. Solo finished with a 5/5/17 KDA.
One step closer to a fifth major win
June 9, 2018
Solo finished with an 8/15/30 overall KDA in a clean 2-0 win vs Optic at the China Supermajor.
ANALYSIS
Solo played a reliable Bane in Game 1, sitting behind his teammates ready with the Nightmare saves or setups. He finished with a 4/5/10 KDA. Solo went back to his more typical sacrificial support style in Game 2, racking up a 4/10/20 KDA on Warlock. Despite his high deaths, he was extremely effective in fights. Fatal Bonds was especially effective, combining with No[o]ne's Kunkka for some insane combo plays.
Gives up Game 2 but comes back strong
June 5, 2018
Solo played well in a 2-1 win vs Newbee at the China Supermajor. He finished with a 4/16/45 overall KDA.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Solo played Warlock. Despite dying fairly often in fights this was still a well-played game from Solo. He used his spells well in fights and most of his deaths protected a core teammate. He finished with a 3/4/13 KDA. Game 2 didn't go so well for Solo, on Disruptor this time. He had a tough job trying to set up for fights against a Naga Siren, and it didn't help that he was also tanking ganks again all game. He finished with a 1/9/14 KDA. In Game 3 Solo played Bane. He did a nice job pressuring the lanes early on, allowing Virtus.pro to snowball themselves into a quick win to seal the series. He finished with a 0/3/18 KDA.
Another easy win for Virtus.pro
May 24, 2018
Solo finished with a 2/3/23 KDA on Rubick in a commanding win over Optic at ESL Birmingham.
ANALYSIS
Solo's positioning in fights was, as usual, on point all game. He played well in lane, and once Virtus.pro got into a leading position he made sure they never had to give it up. There was constant vision for VP all over the map, letting them choose their fights and find easy pick-offs all game.
Deathless game
May 24, 2018
Solo finished with a perfect 5/0/13 KDA on Lion against OG at ESL Birmingham.
ANALYSIS
Solo played his hero very well at all stages of the game. He helped secure the early lane advantage that Virtus.pro would be able to ride to a quick win. In fights Solo was always well positioned and got a lot of value from all of his spells.
Secures Virtus pro a crazy comeback win
May 5, 2018
Solo finished with a 2/4/11 KDA in a best-of-one elimination game win vs Mineski at EPICENTER XL.
ANALYSIS
Solo's saves with False Promise and Fortune's End allowed Virtus.pro to hang around in the game despite falling behind 11,000 gold at one point. In the penultimate Roshan fight, Solo was able to turn the tides of battle and lead Virtus.pro to claim victory.
Leads Virtus.pro to a quick series win
May 2, 2018
Solo finished with an overall KDA of 7/10/25 in a one-sided win over Secret at EPICENTER XL.
ANALYSIS
Solo played Disruptor in Game 1. He did a great job in fights using his spells to set up the rest of Virtus.pro for success. He also pulled the classic Solo move of tanking pretty much every gank from Secret, creating even more space for Virtus Pro. He finished with a 1/4/13 KDA. Solo played Lion in Game 2, once again taking on the role of sacrificial lamb while still managing to contribute massively to every Virtus.pro fight win. He finished with a 6/6/12 KDA.
Maintains his teams undefeated series record
April 29, 2018
Solo finished with an overall KDA of 6/21/49 in a 2-1 win over Newbee at EPICENTER XL.
ANALYSIS
Solo had a rough time as Jakiro in Game 1, but his deaths ended up giving the rest of his team tons of space to take over the map. He was usually alive for the start of fights at least, and his spells were very effective all game. He finished with a 3/7/16 KDA. In Game 2 Solo played Disruptor. He was extremely effective all game, but Newbee did an excellent job holding off Virtus.pro's early pressure and took the game deep into the late game. Even with a few nice items like Aghanim's Scepter he couldn't stand up to Newbee's superior late-game. He finished with a 2/7/17 KDA. In Game 3 Solo played a very interesting support Nature's Prophet. He didn't contribute a lot of burst damage or hard lockdown, but Solo was all over the map and constantly being annoying. The ability to add plus one to any early engagement was huge for Virtus.pro and snowballed itself into a commanding win. Solo finished with a 1/7/26 KDA.
Two unorthodox drafts close out the series
April 27, 2018
Solo finished with a 6/16/44 overall KDA in a 2-1 win against paiN Gaming in the group stages of EPICENTER XL.
ANALYSIS
Solo played Lion in Game 1. His early game rotations were fantastic, setting Virtus.pro up to take a hefty early gold lead. Unfortunately for Solo, this work was thrown out the window after two very one-sided fight losses. Solo finished with a 1/11/16 KDA. In Game 2 Solo played Rubick. He got off a lot of very nice steals and managed to go the entire game without giving up a single death. He finished with a 2/0/14 KDA. Solo played Trent Protector in Game 3, which turned quickly into an even more one-sided repeat of Game 2. Solo made his teammates even more difficult to kill, especially in the lane phase when he was able to throw his weight around to great effect. He finished with a 3/5/14 KDA.
Takes down Evil Geniuses again
April 5, 2018
Solo played Lion in an elimination match win over Evil Geniuses at DAC 2018. He finished with a 3/3/18 KDA.
ANALYSIS
Solo's positioning all game was excellent, letting him get huge value from both his disables as well as staying alive through most of the game's fights. His early rotations secured a great lead for Virtus.pro that they were able to ride comfortably into the mid game and eventually a win.
Knocked to losers bracket by Liquid
April 4, 2018
Solo had a rough series, playing Disruptor in both games of a 0-2 loss to Liquid at DAC 2018. He finished with an 11/17/31 overall KDA.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Solo put on an impressive show by holding against a two-lane barracks deficit, but he fell in the end. Solo's positioning was good when it mattered, especially when Virtus.Pro was holding their last lane against Liquid. This wasn't enough to make up for the lead Liquid got in the early game though, and VP would eventually lose their Ancient. Solo finished with a 2/8/17 KDA. Game 2 was just as rough for Solo, although he did manage to snag eight kills for himself, quite a feat for a support on the losing team. He finished with an 8/9/14 KDA.
Holds strong as the game goes past an hour
April 1, 2018
Solo played Witch Doctor in a win over Team Secret at DAC 2018. He finished with a 4/8/26 KDA.
ANALYSIS
This was an impressive game from Solo, who managed to keep his deaths to a relatively low eight in a game that lasted 70 minutes before Virtus.pro were able to claim victory. Solo was well positioned in fights, letting him actually get some decent use from his spells in situations were other support players might have just died.
Average game doesn't get the win
March 5, 2018
Solo did not do enough as Virtus.Pro lost to OpTic Gaming 1-0 in the group stage of The Bucharest Major. Solo finished with a 3/4/10 KDA.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a massive win in the grand finals of ESL One Katowice, VP came into Bucharest hot and ready to win again. It looked realistic at the start as they ran out to an easy lead. Solo played Oracle and found himself with a perfect KDA at the 25-minute mark. The game got closer around that time, but then came absolutely crashing down for VP at the 37-minute mark. VP members combined for nine deaths in the three-minute span as they completely handed the game over to OpTic.
Pushed his team to a victory
February 24, 2018
Solo had a great series as Virtus.pro defeated Evil Geniuses 2-1 in the quarterfinals of ESL One Katowice, finishing with a 10/18/42 KDA.
ANALYSIS
Even though it went the full three games, it was clear that VP was the better team in this series. VP led every game in kills, even their loss, and their two wins were absolute blowouts. Out of all of VP, Solo had the least dominant game. Solo died a team-high 18 times, twice as many as any of his teammates. Regardless, VP asserted their dominance and clinched a spot in the semifinals with plenty of momentum behind them.
Leads Virtus.pro to an expected but well-played win
February 20, 2018
Solo played a great game against Optic, finishing with a 5/5/15 KDA.
ANALYSIS
Solo played Disruptor in Virtus.pro's first game at ESL One Katowice. Always a favorite hero for Virtus.pro and Solo in particular, Disruptor once again proved to be a winning choice. With RodjER's Naga Siren to set up for him, it was smooth sailing for Solo when it came to landing fight-winning Static Storms.
