Could not make it out of swiss
September 18, 2017
RayC fought hard but could not make it out of the swiss stage of the Hearthstone Americas Summer Playoffs.
In a stacked field of players, RayC was able to fight his way to the top. He finished with a winning record at 4-3 as he played especially well with his Highlander Priest throughout. Unfortunately, not just any winning record advances a person to top eight and RayC fell short.
Had his tournament run end very early in group stages
July 31, 2017
RayC could not fight through the swiss format as he failed to advance from the group stages at the Hearthstone Grand Prix at DreamHack Atlanta.
RayC may have the experience over a lot of the other entrants, but that can only go so far. The Hearthstone Grand Prix starts out with a grueling Swiss Bracket to help sort out the 168 players entered in the competition. Players played up to nine rounds in a single day, and RayC was unable to make it out of the grueling stage.
Rayc: Finishes third/fourth in ONOG PAX East Major tournament
April 24, 2016
Rayc made his way to the semifinals of the One Nation of Gamers PAX East Major before falling to Astrogation in a close 3-2 series.
Rayc started off this 148-player, single-elimination bracket tournament with a bye round, then proceeded to sweep both Spoonce and everlark in the rounds of 128 and 64. He then took on Skepsys in the round of 32 and was still not tested as much since he won 3-1. Rayc then went back to dominating in the round of 16 and quarterfinals where he swept both Kesjo and Orange, respectively. His run ended when he faced Astrogation in the semifinals, though. He was able to pick up wins with his Druid and Paladin, but his Zoo could not overcome the Freeze Mage of Astrogation. For finishing third/fourth, Rayc will walk away with 700 dollars and five HCT points.
