DraftKings LoL: Saturday Cheat Sheet

Counter Logic Gaming vs. Team SoloMid Round 2 is the highlight of Saturday’s games. CLG are riding a bit of a hot streak after the last time these two met and could be set to play the upset in their eternal rivals. The other action showcases C9 against Echo Fox, Phoenix1 taking on Team Dignitas, and FlyQuest looking to get back on track against Team EnVyUs. Echo Fox find themselves on the good side of their “every other week we’re good” mantra and make for intriguing cheap tournament plays if you’re feeling bold in their matchup against C9.

Top Lane: Hauntzer (TSM vs. CLG, $6,700)

Hauntzer is priced in the mid tier of top laners today despite leading North American top laners in kills, assists, kill participation, KDA and damage to champions per minute. He makes for a pretty solid value play on a day where there isn’t a ton to be found. Even cheaper than Hauntzer, you know I love Ssumday, and Looper is also quite cheap for his potential upside.

Jungle: Akaadian (FOX vs. C9, $5,000)/Moon (FLY vs. nV, $6,600)/Contractz (C9 vs. FOX, $6,800)

Three junglers in today’s lineup for me and it’s because I just can’t pass up on the pricing. Akaadian at $5,000 is a must play, I don’t care about facing C9, the guy leads the entire LCS in kills and $5,000 is what you usually hope to pay for a support or a team. While some of his underlying numbers aren’t great, I’d rather use him at this cheap price than a second support as his upside far surpasses anything a support could do. Moon and Contractz don’t need as much explanation, both are top four in kills and assists and while C9 may find this matchup against Echo Fox trickier than expected, FlyQuest should handle nV.

Middle Lane: Bjergsen (TSM vs. CLG, $7,400)

Bjergsen has started to catch fire of late and is coming off of back-to-back 100+ point series. He’s up to third in kills and is second in assists, KDA, and kill participation among mid laners. He’s a fairly easy play at a reduced price as he is still the best mid laner in the West.

ADC: WildTurtle (TSM vs. CLG, $7,500)

Like Bjergsen, WildTurtle is also coming off of a 100+ point performance and will look to keep things rolling against CLG. Stixxay has been solid of late, but Turtle is top four in kills, assists, and KDA among marksmen. Stacking TSM has it’s risks, as I think CLG do have a legitimate chance of upsetting their rivals here today, but I like Turtle as a high floor type of player.

Support: Biofrost (TSM vs. CLG, $5,700)

Biofrost rounds out the TSM stack. He leads the LCS in assists and is top three in KDA and kill participation among supports. Like I said, the TSM stack has it’s risks, but BioFrost is another high floor player who should pick up double digit assists in every game TSM win.

Team: DIG vs. P1, $4,100

P1 struggled last night and Dignitas are red hot coming into the week. On paper DIG should’ve been much better than their early season struggles, and hopefully the squad are now rounding into form. I like their players today and also like them as a cheap team to use in a matchup they have a great chance to win.
