Team Dignitas
United States
Free agent for Season 8
November 21, 2017
Ssumday announced Tuesday that he is a free agent for 2018.
ANALYSIS
Ssumday spent the past season on Team Dignitas. While he has always been better in carry/top laner metas, Ssumday still was a top performer throughout the 2017 campaign. During his time in Korea on KT Rolster, he was heralded as a top player as well. He provided no indication where he will go, but he will most likely remain in North America or return to Korea.
Struggles as things progress in series defeat
September 13, 2017
Adrian earned a series KDA of 0/10/10 in his team's 0-3 defeat at the hands of FLY.
ANALYSIS
Starting the series out on Nami, Adrian had a decent performance despite his team's shortcomings. Although he was able to participate in all of his team's kills, it was not enough to close things out. As his lanes all fell behind, he could not gain vision control to allow his team to find positioning and take favorable fights. After losing the first game, Adrian's performance noticeably dropped, with him being focused early and unable to get anything done in the remainder of the series. Allowing FlyQuest to take fights easily, he was dominated in the final two games of the series, allowing FlyQuest to take a 3-0 series victory.
Finds only two kills in series loss
September 13, 2017
Altec earned a miserable series KDA of 2/11/5 in his team's swift 3-0 defeat against FlyQuest.
ANALYSIS
Although Altec has consistently been a solid player on Dignitas, his series performance against FlyQuest was not indicative of that. Getting absolutely dominated in every game, his performance tanked throughout the series, allowing FlyQuest to run away with the victory. Although he was able to put up a decent performance during the first game of the series, he quickly faltered in the rest, only able to pick up a combined three assists without a single kill during the remainder. As a result, FlyQuest easily dominated with their snowballed bottom lane, allowing Dignitas to be defeated easily. With the losses, FlyQuest claimed the victory 3-0.
Lackluster showing in series loss against FlyQuest
September 13, 2017
Keane earned a series KDA of 2/6/7 in his team's 0-3 loss.
ANALYSIS
Throughout the entire series against FlyQuest, Keane struggled to get much of anything done, faltering in lane and never able to recover. He started off Game 1 with a poor showing on Orianna, falling behind swiftly in lane and doing nothing to attempt to comeback. After falling behind, he couldn't do enough in fights to bring his team the victory. Game 2 and 3 went similarly, with Keane falling behind early and being extremely lackluster as a result. With his team at a huge disadvantage, he struggled again and could not output nearly enough damage to bring his team back into things. Although not the sole reason for his team's defeat, his poor performance contributed to Dignitas' 0-3 loss in the series.
Lackluster performance even on comfort picks
September 13, 2017
Ssumday earned a series KDA of 7/5/6 throughout his team's 0-3 defeat against FlyQuest.
ANALYSIS
Although Ssumday was given carry champions in his team's series against FlyQuest, he struggled to get things going in every game but the second. Falling behind early and being given limited resources in both Game 1 and Game 3, he was unable to ever recover, fending for himself and neglecting the rest of his team. As a result, both games saw quick defeats for Dignitas. Game 2 went better for Ssumday who found himself ahead early on with Renekton, though he could not translate his lead to the rest of the team. Though he could pick up advantages for himself, the lack of team coordination cost Dignitas, allowing FlyQuest to pick up the victory. Although he had a single decent performance, Ssumday's poor showing resulted in his team losing the series 0-3 and being eliminated from World's contention.
