Can't match frontline of Gladiators
March 16, 2018
Manneten couldn't hold the line against the Los Angeles Gladiators as the Florida Mayhem were handed a 2-1 loss on Friday.
Manneten continued to ride with D.Va throughout the entirety of this series, but it simply wasn't enough to stop his team from getting overrun. The Mayhem looked very strong on the first two maps, but the second half was a bit of a regression into old habits. With his DPS players unable to get past the frontline of Los Angeles, there was too much pressure coming from a comfortable Gladiators squad who essentially ran roughshod on the Mayhem in this half. Make no mistake, however, this Mayhem team is improving by the day and could be a threat come Stage 3.
Nowhere to be found
January 28, 2018
Manneten didn't respond to the Los Angeles Valiant in a 3-1 loss for the Florida Mayhem Saturday during Week 3 of Stage 1 of the OWL.
While it certainly falls on the supports to be positioned correctly, D.Va is by far the premiere tank in terms of protection. Manneten was rarely able to save his supports on every map except Dorado. D.Va's Defense Matrix is one of the most powerful defensive abilities in the game, yet Manneten seems to only be looking forward. He needs to take a step back, assess the situation, and react accordingly in order to break into top tier D.Va play.
Not aggressive enough
January 26, 2018
Manneten, in a flip flop from last week, wasn't aggressive enough in the Mayehm's 4-0 loss to the Houston Outlaws.
Manneten played D.Va throughout the series, but he was often not found chasing down squishy DPS. Instead he was usually found with the supports in the backlines. He seemed to misuse his hero's innate abilities to be mobile and more deadly from close range.
Stays with his team
January 13, 2018
Manneten is slowly improving, game by game and it showed in the Florida Mayhem's 4-0 loss to the Boston Uprising on Friday.
Manneten's D.Va was far more reserved than in the previous day's match-up against the London Spitfire. He was constantly playing with his teammates rather than following his own agenda and despite the loss, he looked more like a team player throughout the series.
Being too aggressive
January 12, 2018
Manneten was too aggressive in the Florida Mayhem's 1-3 loss against the London Spitfire in the OWL on Thursday.
Manneten's D.Va was on another part of the map applying pressure and occasionally picking up kills, rarely sticking with his team during the series. As the series went on, it was plain to see a major pressure point as how he could protect his own team. Once he's mastered the art of when to dive and when not to dive, Manneten will be a major force in teamfights.
